Life is full of change. Change can often bring stress as there can be a degree of the unknown that we have to contend with (such as death of a loved one, moving, new job, retirement).

Even life events we associate as happy (wedding, having a baby) can bring mixed emotions which can sometimes be surprising. It can be helpful to make sense of these complicated and mixed feelings instead of burying them – this always lead to trouble! Our emotions serve to communicate with us – in the same way our stomach growls to indicate we are hungry. It serves us to listen to them.
